I just told a new mother that she has been overpaid. Reason being that the idot who conducted the maternity interview has given her the wrong information. I had to break the news. She was in tears and I feel like shit as I think I have just ruined her Christmas.

Wish I had more valum-it would make the sick feeling in my stomach go away.

Its always bad to have to diliver the news that someone else in the company has screwed up. Rember its not you thats bad or wrong. I'm sure if you were the uber-boss you would let it slide. Smile your a good person and thus should be mad at the Glove Muppet who can not get his facts right.
Just prepare the voodo doll when the Fat catz award themselves uber-bonus type things. guilt and shame be on them, not you. after all they are the ones scrouging the xmas from the poor lady.
