I generally try NOT to answer the phone or reply to text messages (unless it's gonna cause serious issues or loss of booty) when I'm with one chick and getting the former from another. Either that or I do it discreetly... maybe even say it's my friend or something. Fuck it, they don't wanna know the truth... no woman does :-p

he only talks to his ex b/c they "promised to be friends" even though it's not going to work. but I didn't ask who it was because I knew. It's been 2 years tho...i mean seriously. I like/care about him and I know he feels the same way...but then again he might have been looking at is as "well if I don't answer it she's(me) is going to think that something is going on...so if I answer it it shows I have nothing to hide." i dont know. so either way it would have been a lose lose situation. I wish he would have just brought it up so that I wouldnt be stewing over still. geez.

I almost always answer my phone regardless of time or who is with me. The only problem I see with above is that if it's been two years, he should not have to be confirming shit still. It indicates 2 things.

1) He is keeping her around just in case you and he fall through sohe keeps her dangling so she would fuck him while he finds someone else or
2) He's a wuss that cannot tell the bitch to leave him alone and let him move on with his life.

Either one is bad.

Now I don't say that to upset you. I had a gf, not a kinda seeing each other fooling around thing, but we were dating "exclusively" and she would always hit ignore and what not when I was around. That bothered me cause it comes across like you are hiding something. It's like:
