end of an era (though not a livejournally one, as such)

Well, guys. It's been forever. Ten weeks is a small eternity in Internet Time, yes? Somehow I... just fell out of the habit, I dunno. Long stories, longer trails of thought and consequence stemming off from those. But eventually I felt I needed to fight past the waves of guilt-over-not-posting I felt every time I logged into LJ (yes, I've been ( Read more... )

Oh man, Super Star. That was a cornerstone of my childhood. I spent WEEKS trying to get every treasure in Great Cave Offensive, and I played Meta Knight's Revenge so many times I kept wondering when he'd run out of Halberds.

Missed you, hon. <3

Yes. The thing that kept me from 100%ing for so long? Was ONE TREASURE in that darn thing. Nall did the same thing. =P

Sorry I haven't been around. I've been watching, at least, even if I haven't really known what to say. I've been thinking of you. <3

Was it that one in the area where the wind blew you away from the opening? That was mine.

I'd still like to get back into IM conversations with you, they were always a real high-point. But I understand if the social guilt stuff kinda sideswipes it, that happens to me too.

It's been so bloody long I don't remember. XD Nall said something about falling through a really easily missed false floor, and I think that was mine.

I tend to do IM only when I know someone specifically wants to talk, so I totally can, I just don't tend to pop up spontaneously. I'm really glad to know they were a good thing for you despite most of our convos being at a time when I was ARGH FAIL ANGSTMUFFIN, though.

I may not be around the computer too much tonight or this weekend, but I'll very likely have some online tiemz Monday. I'll try and catch you then? If not, I have the rest of the week.

If you feel like getting crazy, I think they're re-releasing the game on DS soon-ish.

You mean making people pay $30 US for a 12 year old game (w/ a few new subgames) instead of releasing it for 1/4 that price on Virtual Console lol lol

Seriously, though, what weird coincidental timing, huh?

Aw, I wonder how the save files on my old cartridges have held up. In any case, I understand this being an event you'd want to observe.

I hear game batteries are supposed to last longer if you play them regularly! I'm sure many of my NES and SNES carts have been vaporized by now! (Though last time I checked years ago, my Zelda 1 and Secret of Mana only lost one file each!)

I wonder if my Zelda 1 and 2 cartridges still have their savefiles. Last time I checked (years ago), they still had them...
