This actually happened to me just last week, when for some reason my copy of Soul Blazer decided to have a hissy fit and wipe all the saves I had. Not that I was actually surprised; I got the cart used and it seems a little sluggish during the first few seconds after start-up, so having the memory wipe was inevitable, I figured.

Luckily, all the games I bought brand-new are still working as fine as they did when I got them.... But then, I try and take better care of my games. x^^;
