It's official - my dream job is not mine. They were very nice, but really needed somebody licensed. Upside: I know there are jobs in the US that I might really enjoy. Other upside: nothing currently prevents me from going to Ecuador the instant I finish my dissertation. Downside: that's at least a couple of months away.

Hmmm...lots of prior research led me to believe that adopting in the US from Ecuador is really complicated (only 20 took place last year), but I guess it's not so hard after all.
