Since I had been without a stylist for a few months, my hair had gotten pretty scraggly and I decided it was time to bite the bullet and find someone new. Thanks! Maybe I will turn that first pic into an icon or something for when I'm feeling moody. :)

Do you have any idea how hard it is to take a photo of the back of your head?? It was really tough to get anything halfway decent! :D

It looks great!

And yeah locks of love can be really picky. I donated my hair years ago to them, but supposedly since then they have gotten really picky about what they will take.

That's exactly what my stylist said too. Apparently they have really tightened up their requirements lately.

Hopefully they're picky because they're getting so many donations.

Hooray for your shorter hair!!! Looks great :) , but just FYI, Locks of Love *will* take colored hair.. The even take shorter "scraggly" hair, permed and gray hair. The only hair they do not take is bleached and dreadlocked hair. I'd personally like to go have a good "talking to" with that stylist. She OBVIOUSLY has never read the web page and took something away from you that you worked so hard on. If you saved it, you can still send it in yourself.

Apparently some color is ok. But there was too way too much color on my hair, and as a result it was really really damaged, which I think was more the issue. The stylist actually seemed very familiar with Locks of Love. My hair was just in super bad shape. :(

And unfortunately I did not end up saving it, because not only was it so damaged, but it was at about 9 inches, just short of the requirement.
