It gets better - we've made a pact to continue tonight, and... I spent a good chunk of last night looking up mountaineering terms, names of minerals and various gemstones, and I'm going to spend a good chunk of today coming up with ways to pun them.

I was on a roll last night. After my friend had gone to bed, I was talking to another friend I mentioned I'd made a file titled "The Pun File" which I kept reading as "The Fun Pile" and she said something about a 'fun pile' on the Enterprise...

...to which I replied, "I have no comet, but if it's something you really want to do, you should planet."

I owe it all to my grandfather, who has the remarkable ability to take just about anything and turn it into a pun/corny joke.
