Wow, you already finished? I restrained myself from picking it up last night. Heading to the bookstore shortly though.

Haven't read all of it yet. What gets me is the people going off about how SM is using the book to promote her "conservative agenda;" they're complaining about her her "anti-abortion" message AND her "no sex before marriage" message.

So what if she is? It's her book, those are her beliefs...most authors are going to write stuff that conforms to their own beliefs!! I just can't believe that people are pissed because there isn't graphic sex in the book. Once again I find myself flabbergasted by the hubris of fandom. You'd think I would have learned my lesson with HP.

Um... didn't they know there wouldn't be graphic sex in the book? That's what fanfiction is for anyway. >:-D

I have to say I am shocked when I see positive comments because I hated it so much it wasn't even fun to read like the other ones were. :(

My twilight dislike is well known so I am REALLY not surprised that people hated it. No matter what happened in it half the fandom would be pissed and it would be another huger hp style fandom explosion.

So since it it not my fandom:

Y'know, I'm actually really glad I'm not in this fandom either. Apart from one or two fanfic writers I read (like coquette7, who is awesome), I'm outside the fandom loop. Thank goodness. Sometimes you just want to enjoy something by yourself, without other people ruining it.

Enjoy the fireworks for me!
