From the tables, Rabbit could see most of what was going on. He observed the entire scene on the way in, all the way to where he found a place to sit, and since he sat down. He would have preferred a wall to lean against, to get a better view over people, but sitting down was a decent alternative. He hadn't gotten a single bid and was pretty much social idiot when it came to asking someone out. He didn't know why, but it just felt really strange.

And so Rabbit was here by himself, observing and eating some cheese squares.

Renae hadn't arrived with anyone, either. That didn't seem to bother her, though. She peered around curiously at the outfits, the food, everything. It almost made her wish she'd brought her sketchbook, but that would defeat the purpose of showing up to mingle, wouldn't it?

Wandering past the tables, she perks up when spotting Rabbit not too far away. Heading over, she flashed him a grin and waved. "Hey, Pirate Boy. Sharp outfit!"

"Huh?" Rabbit shook from his thoughts. "Pirate?" If it wasn't his name, it was the eyepatch that caught people's attention. One in particular had called him a pirate before. "You wouldn't happen t' be Renae, wouldya?"

No date of his should ever walk to a get-together if he could help it! Moving quietly on those shining wings, Chosen touched the ground bearing Dani in his arms. The pink and white ensemble was traded for the classic black and white, traditional in that suit he had fitted just the other day. His hair was nearly too red for any other color!

The redhead gently placed Dani on her feet, but not before raising the back of her hand to his lips for a quick kiss. "Here we are! Let's sneak in a little dance or two and blend into the crowd."

Well, at least this time her hair was still intact this time. Companion really did a good job with her mile of hair.

Blushing when Chosen kissed her hand, Dani nodded and smoothed down her green-and-white tye-dye dress. "No one will notice that we didn't pay!" she replied in a cheerful whisper.

"If Bubbles catches us, we're so screwed. She was a complete dragon over all the ball set-up, and I don't want to see if she really could breathe fire. I think the other guests paying their way in should cover us, huh?" Oh, mischief was always a joy. After meeting Dani, he seemed to have developed a little bit of a naughty streak.

Offering his arm, he straightened up and cleared his throat. "I think we need to wait for that stick-in-the-mud over there to move away from the punch bowl. Until then, we should show them how dancing is done!"

He definitely knew how to dance, and wondered if she did.
