have you ever felt like you joined something for all the right reasons only to find out that the thing you joined is more ugly than you imagined. and you are fighting everything you joined for? sometimes i feel that way. like i joined the navy to defend those i love and my country. i joined the navy to a service for my fellow americans. i ( Read more... )

First, I'm guessing something prompted this entry. But, uhh, what was it?

And second, you didn't actually join the navy for ideological reasons did you? Because that seems terribly naive to me, and I refuse to believe it. The only reason I could see for you joining the navy was because of the benefits it would provide you.

One final point: do you honestly believe that Iraq poses a threat to the security of the US? And that this threat is so much more potent than it has been in recent years as to merit a -preemptive- attack? Because right now, more than Al Qaeda, more than Hussein, I fear Geroge Bush and the US government.

First off, when i went to boston to visit laura this guy didn't really seem to like me because i was in the military. and all the people around are disgusted with the navy.

Second off, i didn't honestly join solely for the ideological reasons. but i did partly join for those reasons.

Third off, i did not say i agreed with Bush attacking Iraq. and i am slightly scared of him being in office.

Finally, none of this changes my job and what i have to do.

Thanks, yo. I was pretty sure it was one of the two. I actually had 27th, then replaced it with 26th, then went back to 27th.

Issac I think one thing you need to understand is that people choose who they want to be, we're not a product of out enviroment but a product of the warped thinking every human being does. Its for these reason that history is directed, war happens because someone wanted it indirectly to say the least, there are many examples I do not need to site. As for what sparked this people are entitled to thier opinions, but that doesn't make it law and people see things the way the want to see them, some are just more easily led than others, what you should fear are the leaders that aren't really in control but are followed. The only question I have is what does anyones birthday have to do with it all eh?
