Think of Rodney getting ready to leave, changing back into his Atlantis uniform and checking his pockets three or four times to make sure he has the little things he wants to take with him, and rechecking the device to be sure. Then John coming into the room and asking what's wrong.

There's a reason why I can't write from when he was younger. I always tear up because Rodney always leaves.
