since i will be in NYC next week, i was wondering if anyone could let me know of some good places to go/shop/eat/see/etc. also, i will be by myself for a couple of the days i will be there, and i am planning on just having my 35mm camera and trying to take some cool photographs of things/people. i took some ( tourist-y photographs... )

I have a friend in my LJ. Indierockjess. She's from that area, and a super cool person. She would be able to help you out. She's also in my myspace.

definatly check out tribeca, esp. in the evening, i swear to god, the evening light there is like nothing else in the world...

as for places to shop and such, there's stuff pretty much everywhere. just go someplace random and poke around, you'll find someplace worthwhile.

yeah, i saw your post at mac_cosmetics, which directed me here. incidentally, your makeup is hot.

okay..i need your camera/lens advice! haha. i am in a bind..i need to keep the consistency of the wide angle lens for the weezer show, and i remember you telling me about those fisheye attachments that go for like $50.00 on eBay..i saw them, but i need to be able to get one by saturday obviously, so i wanted to know if you knew of any camera places that may carry those things! gracias!

after mine broke, i went into a couple camera stores and asked about those things and they have never heard of such a thing. =/ so i doubt it.
i think your best bet would be renting a wide angle/fish eye lens for the show...i think they go for something like $40-50/per day? the quality would be a lot better than one of those attachments anyways. if you go back a post, i used that when i took pictures in NY...you can tell the quality is no where near as good as the wide angle.
i would totally let you borrow mine but i know i am going to want it while im in NY. you can definitely use it though for the other shows after im back.
