Well, I went to a job fair today put on by the Columbus Dispatch. The job fair was at the Columbus ZOO. When I got there, the line was about 50 yards outside the gate. Saturday was my first event as Pursuivant herald for the Marche of Tirnewydd. We had our Red Dragon event and my job was event herald. I felt a bit out of place as I was not in any way part of Court. Apparently, the ranking herald present can pull rank and run Court. He did. I'm used to the local Herald doing Court. Oh well. In a way, I'm ( Read more... )

Well, finally made it here on Saturday. Picked up the 26' truck, and the trailer, loaded the truck to bulging, and we still didn't get everything on (more on that later). Just got back from a going away dinner thrown in my honor. I have such good friends here in Calafia (Society for Creative Anachronism Barony in San Diego). They're more like a second family to me.
