I am absolutely crazy about this boy. He lives so far away.

Today I was hit by a 73 year-old drunk driver. My neck and back ache, but for the most part I'm fine. Anyway, I officially hate old people. Also, if you deliberately continue to consume alcoholic beverages and get behind the wheel (there are plenty of you) than I am no longer your friend and I also hate you.

Baltimore is an old, mostly poor city, packed full of unfriendly disgruntled types with permanent scowls on their faces. The buildings in the "bad" parts of town--which are peppered randomly throughout the county and easy to stumble upon--look like decayed, wartime remains. It's really depressing. The racial tension is also still pretty shocking. ( Read more... )

So by Saturday morning I'll be on my way out of Miami, stopping for a short family "vacation"in Orlando (a.k.a. Borelando) with my mother before we take the Auto Train to Lorton, Virginia. I received my acceptance letter to RISD, but I'm still going to MICA in Baltimore, Maryland a.k.a. B-More a.k.a. Murder City. Cool. Maybe I'll finally get some of that hard-earned 'street cred' I've been chasing my whole life. So, anyway, I got into all of the schools I applied to. That feels good.
