The Dangers of Location Sharing Apps

Parents (and maybe us teachers, too), talk to your kids and teens about the dangers of location sharing apps, even simple check-ins. Trying to keep them disconnected from WiFi is pointless due to unguarded networks and public hotspots; they can only be protected by their own knowledge and personal vigilance about what their apps are sharing. You're absolutely correct in stating that it is dangerous for children and teens. Even as a young adult I do it with caution and I still consider it to have risks. I'm fairly wary about it and I don't do it all the time or everywhere (like banks, home, sensitive areas that can be compromised, other people's homes, etc).
