Dangers of Locations Sharing Apps
Parents (and maybe us teachers, too), talk to your kids and teens about the dangers of location sharing apps, even simple check-ins. Trying to keep them disconnected from WiFi is pointless due to unguarded networks and public hotspots; they can only be protected by their own knowledge and personal vigilance about what their apps are sharing. A Weird Experience, or, How I Know I Have Changed
I just saw a movie for the first time, a second time. It was "Little Man Tate", with Jodie Foster. The first time I saw it, about 20 years ago, I missed SEVERAL major plot lines, emotional character motivations, interactions, and symbolism. I got it this time. I think I've changed a lot over the years. SO weird. -

Sad Kitten
Force, my remaining kitty, is very sad. He is clingy and meows a lot. He needs more company than I am, between my working all the time and visiting Del, 1/2 hour out of the city. Goodbye Sheba. You were a Good Kitten
One of my two kitties was euthanised on Friday, while I petted her. Sheba had lymphosarcoma. It's rarely curable, and heroic treatments might have resulted in maybe a year of poor quality life. Women ARE as good as men, but there are still too many men who feel a disgusting need to control and abuse all the women in their lives, probably arising from their own fear and insecurity. Tubely virus?
Beware of "tubely". It's a viral phishing site, according to several people. It also tracerts out to an amazon.com server, which is of course impossible: they're hiding something. -
"Happy Wheels" Is Truly Disgusting
I am EXTREMELY disgusted with the gross and dehumanizing on-line game called "Happy Wheels". The characters poke fun at people, for example disabled people, in an inappropriate way, and the graphics are gross, bloody, and disgusting. I expect that playing this game will reduce children's empathy for others, and dehumanize entire groups of people in ( Read more... )
