I've been reading Anthony Clare's interview with Kay Redfield Jamison in his third book of 'in the psychiatrist's chair' and started thinking when she talked about how to separate her manic depression from herself - she says:

"Now there are some people who just get manic and it has nothing to do with them... with who they are and how they go through
