Went for a long afternoon walk the other day, with a bag of books and notebooks and water botles and pens; it gets so boring indoors sometimes. I found a park and wrote a letter to my sister, with an illustration just for fun.

Well jack is settling in nicely you'll all be pleased to hear. Likes to hop himself in and out through the window to get down into the garden below which involves a short teetering tip toe alone a metal tail round a corner and then a neat jump to a slanting wall. Well I had book club fail, I only managed to stuff down 196 pages of 276 before I had to go. But luckily I wasn't the only one. Not quite finishing the book seemed to be an acceptable position - although from previous book club experiences I have found that those that do finish tend to look down on those that don't. Looking through the box for my post this morning I found that one of my neighbours has the unfortunate surname "Arsenova". Lets hope they discover a planetary body one day.

So the next meeting of the Brighton Book Club is on march 3rd, in about three and a half days, and initially i was going to skip it for next month, give myself time to actually read the book.
