Down in Brighton for the weekend and I had a day to walk around on my own. I had messed up and forgot to buy my sister a birthday present so I spent the day taking pictures on the beach trying to think of something to get her. Figured I'd start in a bookshop and wait for the inspiration to soak in ( Read more... )

Vesuvius Club is awesome :-) Did you get the novel or the graphic novel? Both are good, but the former is better...

Knew you'd be a fan! Have you read any scott pilgrim? I think you'd be into it!

I got her the novel cause the graphic novel didn't have much text and it didn't feel much like a birthday present, something you could finish in half an hour.

Glad you had a good weekend. We throughly enjoyed it too (despite the sunburn - we're both now peeling in a quite unattractive manner)!

Hopefully it'll be less than 12 years before we meet again.

I was quite surprised to find myself with so many people who'd seen Primer! It's the sort of film that makes you think you're the only person in the world who must have seen it, and you're not quite sure if you actually imagined the whole thing. Kind of like the Adventure Game.

Yes! *beams* the adventure game. I went to the imdb to check, but I knew exactly what you meant. The weird green hamburgers... my god.

There was a film I saw when I was kid that Ive been trying to find ever since, about a boy who is kidnapped because he can feel gold under the ground with his bones, and theres time travel and the stuff about the discovery of the circulation system in the body and all sorts in it. No one knows what the hell Im talking about but Im know it existed. One day im going to start going alphbetically through the imdb to find it...

Had a quck poke about on the web, but didn't come up with anything conclusive.

However, I wonder if it might have been one of the "Children's Film Foundation" Films. The IMDb has a fairly lengthy list of their titles, though not many of them have plot descriptions on them.

The was a TV series I remember seeing in the late 80's that I couldn't remember the name of, but after about half an hour with google and IMDb, I had found it. "The One Game".
