As a service to my LJ friends, I have to mention this online music thing I've been using at work:
Pandora

It's spam-free, etc.  You start by telling them an artist you like, they play one of that band's songs, and then start playing songs that are similar.  It's pretty cool.

The mad hunt for a job continues.  I had an interview with a company on Thursday which I thought went well.  I left with some unanswered questions, but we'll see.  They didn't call today but she tells me that's kind of the norm, so I'll call tomorrow.  The staffing people sent out my info to a couple of businesses today, so that's promising.  And ( Read more... )

I've been doing this lately.  Writing a page-long (or longer) post, deciding it's not what I wanted, and deleting it.

So, I'm gonna try again.  My job might be ending.  Some people are saying it's probably going to end, others say that there's a 90% we'll continue with the contract.  I, being the pro-active guy that I am, have begun "the hunt."

Not exactly the most exciting weekend the Emerton's have ever seen, but some unwinding never hurt anyone!  Friday morning Central plumbing and Heating came out (you know, they are the Warm guys) and added a gas line for out new LG washer and dryer.  I'm excited to get these installed, they're stackable so they will save us a bunch of space plus ( Read more... )
