My only three friends who are writing about the Israel-Lebanon war in their LJs are samtheeagle, zunger, and jurph. I recommend their posts, and the discussions in their comment sections ( Read more... )

It's a good point you make.

I've been following the news, but have nothing really substantial to say, beyond what I've already written in samtheeagle's comments.

I also recommend twistedchick, whose posts are usually US-domestic policy related, but who has been keeping an eye on US policy toward the war(s) in the Middle East.

Mainly, though, the whole business makes me so angry and frustrated and sad that I've been posting about lighter things, because I'm wound up enough about it all.

Also, on a side note, I have been adoring your photo posts.

Yeah, it's been on my mind and in my RL conversations as well. But it does make me weary to discuss it.

Is it really too much to ask that people stop killing each other?

I'm with sushigrade on this one. I have friends that have recently returned from both places, and friends that seem to think all the blame lies with one side or the other. I don't have the energy to argue with any of them.

Nescio17 had a post about it you might be interested to read.
