I want to get away from this area for a while. There are too many things distracting me from living the way that I would like to. Living in another town will give me time to gather myself and build a solid foundation for maintaining and living a different, healthier lifestyle.
Newmarket is far enough away so that Toronto is still accessable, but it's still a bit of an effort for people I know to visit me. I need some alone time. I need time to focus without any distractions.

how far away is New Market from Richmond Hill? I remember it being north.

I've been contemplating moving closer to my family. It's hard living two provinces over, but then again I don't want to live anywhere near where I grew up.

It's about a 20-30min busride north from Richmond Hill on Yonge St..
I would like to eventually get entirely away from the York Region area. Though, In the meantime, I figure moving to Newmarket will put me in an spot where I'm close enough to get support from family and friends if I need it, but far enough away to experience a little more independence.
How come you don't want to move anywhere near where you grew up?
Why not just move a few hours away from there?
