I'm toying with the idea of ditching LJ and going to Wordpress (maybe even shelling out for a domain and my own site, ooo). I only read LJs via my RSS aggregator these days, and the comms I used to post to seem to all be dead. OTOH, there's a lot to love here, and I'm reluctant to give it up. Agreed. I'd still rather everyone jump ship @ LJ and head over to DreamWidth so I'd only have one site to check per day, but LJ is my secondary "to read". Yeah, I have some blogs on Google Reader, but I never remember to check in with them so it's infrequent at best.

Lj is getting dead and I'm starting to be part of the deadness. I'm doing other writing elsewhere. I don't want to blog publicly about my personal family stuff, but my ashram blog is taking off and ..... yeah, LJ is dead. I wish it wasn't. I wish there was a comparable venue, alas.

Have you thought about moving over to Dreamwidth? It's a fork of the LJ code managed by folks who actually give a darn.
