Frustration
So, I was not hot on my new teaching gig being half-time. I can deal with it, but it's definitely not what I was hoping. Being a half-time teacher (with no experience and just a Bachelor degree) is the same as working 40 hours a week at minimum wage. Oh things~
I celebrated my 26th birthday all last weekend. Acquired myself a taste for wine, I have. 2-buck-Chuck is pretty good. >_> Boyfriend made my birthday so special. He planned a wine tasting at a friend's place, we made breakfast together every day, and was just all-around super sweet. No money, no problems...?
Quit the housekeeping gig. I was just fooling myself into liking it. In all honesty, it was awful. It could have been worse, yes, but... well, I guess I just can't take it. Oh well... Things went better than expected.
So the house that I wanted that didn't work out... worked out! The guy before me changed his mind again last minute and well, here I am. I had my first interview of the summer in Yakima- it's been rough competing with so many other folks looking for a music teaching gig.... It was definitely a surprise in that they called me on Wednesday for an interview the next day at 9:45am. Sigh
Started new job. I'm a barista at the local tribal casino. It's alright- lots of being on my feet and cake cutting. Tips are decent. Coworkers are alright. There's nothing special about it- it's just another entry-level job. It's something to fill my time and earn me some cash while I'm not teaching this summer ( Read more... )
