I'm Pagan. I don't believe that any one religious or spiritual tradition is the Truth, but more that humans created Gods and Goddesses as a way to connect to and understand a Divine that is too vast to be understood. Aphrodite is a facet of the Divine. Yaweh is a facet of the Divine. Kwan Yin, Oshun, Odin, etc. All facets of a big 'ol Divine disco ball in the sky that's too big for us to grasp so we splinter it out into personalities that we can name and claim. In that way, I follow no dogma, nor do I interpret any scriptures or legends literally

My God is as loving as He is powerful, He let His children go because they wanted to and now they mock or ignore Him because they've secluded themselves from His shelter. There's no understanding between someone who has only heard of Him, the questions stop at a "why?" when something tragic happens and a "thank you" for when things go their own way. He has galaxies of kingdoms and an ethereal serenity waiting while some choose to live in caves because it's the only thing they know. He loves everyone equally, just in different ways. Believing in Him doesn't grant automatic immunity from harshness or unfairness, it just grants the knowledge that this world is only temporary and for now we should just trust in Him and know He will never leave us, no matter how alone we might think we are. That feeling alone, from faith, from prayers, from fall backs...it tells me exactly who my God is. He is the Omega, so perfect and pure we can't grasp its entirety in one paragraph... or even one endless novel.

And explains his definition of love as: Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. - excerpts from 1 Corinthians 13:4-13
God is forgiving, gracious, and merciful.
He gave us free-will because love is only love if chosen. And it wouldn't be love if we were forced.
He paved a way for us to heaven through the sacrifice of Christ. (Which was necessary because the "penalty for sin is death" and He loved us so much He wanted us to choose salvation.)
That was a pretty topical answer. But God can't really be explained, He can only be felt. Though you do learn a lot about His character through Christ. Through the
