I got 'tapped' by a car (while I was in my car) at a short stop crossing Queens Boulevard. It was less than 5 mph and I felt nothing until I woke up the next morning. Been sleeping without a pillow since then, which actually is quite nice. I'm wondering why I bother with a pillow at all!
Ouch! I feel much sympathy, I really didn't appreciate how painful it was before I had it, particularly at first, it was so horrible. Hope it gets easier soon! As much as you can it really helps to keep it mobile, painful as anything but keep moving it as much as you can without crazy pain. My orthopaedic pillow became my best friend, it's so comfortable, and also little wheatie heat bags can really help with pain relief too. In the early stages (first 48 hours) it's best to use ice, to stop blood getting to the area and feeding damage, then after that it's best to use heat to encourage blood back to heal. You probably know all of this but figured there was no harm in saying it anyway! Hope that the pain recedes day by day and it doesn't last too long. xxx
I'm better now, I think. Little to no pain, anyway, until I turn my head the wrong way every now and then. But I'm seeing my chiropractor and she doesn't seem too alarmed, so I feel better about it.
Thanks for the tips! I knew you'd have something helpful to say! :)
