Heeee! I have a 'feet in water' shot from Florida LOL! I think everyone has a 'feet in water' photograph, right? :D

Really, you've been to Florida, too? Was this an excursion you took while in Georgia? I have another great shot of my feet covered in sand (along with my dad's). It was a game we played: see who can pile the most sand on the other person's feet. LOL.

Really, you've been to Florida, too? Was this an excursion you took while in Georgia?Yeah :) We went to Florida for a few days when I was in Georgia :) It wasn't the Florida I pictured from movies but I loved it all the same. :D I expected modern shops or small seaside towns with a bit of local history but we went to St Augustine where people kept saying 'OMG this place is so old!' but being British I don't think I appreciated how old that place is from an American perspective ( ... )

the third picture is gorgeous and the beach looks amazing. *looks outside at the rain* I'm not jealous at all.

Thank you! As you know from the previous email, it's rainy here, too, so no need to be *too* jealous. LOL. The third pic is of the intracoastal waterways--lots of pretty boats. I've always wanted to go sailing, but this isn't that kind of vacation (can't quite see dad and grandma on a boat). It's more of the read and sit on the beach and take it easy kind of thing. Which is also *fantastic*! *happy sigh* Breakfast was nice--fruit and cottage cheese, breakfast burrito and a chocolate muffin. With coffee. But they don't provide real milk for the coffee (just creamers in sealed plastic containers) so I nabbed some cereal milk from the bar. Improvise, improvise! ;D

LOL I would steal milk as well. I can't stand UHT milk/cream in my coffee. Its alright in tea for some reason though. ???? I have to ask though, what is a brreakfast burrito? Not something I've ever seen over here.

Yay, I'm glad you like the pictures, because I sure do! I really enjoy taking them, too. My dad got me a digital camera a year and half ago, but I didn't start using it right away. I LOVE it now. It's a Canon Elph--compact and perfect for traveling. Anyway, I got an empty beach because I went out at 7:30 AM! This afternoon (a Sunday), the beach was crowded, but this morning I was really enjoying my quiet time. There were still people around, but I could manage to shoot around them. Oh, I just realized. The pictures you saw above actually WEREN'T taken in the morning. Most of those were right before a thunderstorm, but the thunderstorm didn't stop the sun from shining on the south, while it was raining in the north. I was lucky to run inside just before it started pouring. :D More pictures to come, and I hope you like them, too! :D :D :D

Oooh I heard those are really great - compact but (obv) great quality pics. Sweet! being a native SF-an, rain and the beach go together like peanut-butter and jelly. Kinda reminded me of Sergio Leone, where, the westerns being filmed in Italy or Spain the landscapes were totally foreign but really familiar all the same. Had the same kind of feeling looking at these, like I should recognize them, but I don't.

I LOVE pics in journals. I really should try and post some myself, but I keep forgetting :/ Keep it coming!

Pictures are really nice, and I'm glad they make us connect in ways that supplement text! I will definitely keep them coming, then! And hope to see some of yours. Did you ever write that entry you were contemplating about queer culture? Because if you're waffling about whether to write it or not, I'd definitely push you over to the "yes, write it!" side of the fence.
