I has a job!

It's temporary to Christmas but by then I'll be into my funding period so I'm not worried. It's part time and is pretty much the same as my last job except in an academic library with a slightly higher rate of pay so all round it's ideal.

1. An actual conversation in our house this morning:
Me: Is there enough milk left for our breakfast or tea*?
Dad: Well there's enough for Lexi's tea.
Dog: *perks up at the mention of her tea*
Dad: It's all part of her plot to make us eat more toast**
Dog: *sits up even straighter at the mention of toast*

Yuletide
I had a fabulous Yuletide this year. I received an utterly character voice perfect fic in one of my teeny tiny fandoms that covers all the thoughts I wanted covered and is so delightful and brilliant doing it. I really just want to cuddle it close and reread it forever!

My supervisor just emailed me.
The exam board met today and although I won't get my dissertation exact mark until next week, she was able to tell me my overall award.
I'm getting a Distinction!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am in fact still alive. I handed in my dissertation three weeks ago (saying that hasn't got old yet), and I've spent since then either catching up on jobs around the house or sleeping ( Read more... ) -
