Excuse me for dropping in but I think this might be something you want to know. I thought the same thing but they split the episode into two parts and you can access them both from that page
Thank you so much! I've just finished watching the part I missed. And feel free to drop in anytime. The hatch is always open. :D What did you think of the episode?
It was my pleasure...wouldn't want to deprive a fellow addict.
What did I think of the episode? Adama is one of my favorites so I think we can safely say I enjoyed it. Although the pacing this season is different I am finding the story telling quite compelling. My main thought after this episode was that I am going to miss BSG when it is done.
My other main thought was the male final five cylons seem to be a potent bunch having both knocked up human and cylon...could Helo be back on the table as the final cylon? I am perversly amused by that possibility
What you mentioned about Helo: I've also been reevaluting all my assumptions about him. We've always assumed that he must be human in order to get Sharon pregnant. But now that door is wide open. I'm really desperately hoping he's not the last cylon, because I don't want his sympathy with cylons to be somehow connected to him actually being a cylon. Have you seen the previews for this Friday's episode? It's provocative and interesting, to say the least!
I'm hoping that this season will soon pick up a few threads from last season, like the question about Hera's connection to Baltar and Six. I also wonder if there's anything more to Joseph Adama's cigarette lighter. Is it just a pretty prop for the Adamas to toss around? I think we first saw it back in season 1! Thanks for chatting with me, and thanks for your help. Please drop in anytime. Oh, and I love cats, so your icon makes me happy. :D
I see you managed to find BSG all on your own so I guess my reply over on my lj was kind of late. Oh well. :P
Anyway, I agree with a lot of your points (too many to repeat) and I believe the mystery of the cat has all of fandom stumped to be honest. Yes it was the copy of "Searider Falcon" (I have to ask though; surely he can't really read a book that badly burned? Or maybe its more sentimental value and memories.) LOL I adore the image of Bill reading to Head!Laura. Somebody really needs to write that.
Hmm... I've never really thought of Helo as the final cylon before. It's an interesting idea that I'll need to ponder over some more.
Why yes I did appreciate the change of uniform for Bill. I don't know if I mentioned it. :D which reminds me, I really should finish my flightsuit!Bill fic. I need poking. Poke me.
Yes, I am happy now. Your icon is very, very much appreciated because I AM NOT NORMAL. Thank you for clarifying what I was doing wrong, over on your LJ!
You're writing a flightsuit!Bill story? GLEE!!!! So glad I'm not alone on the cat business, but I will figure it out on the rewatch, hopefully.
On *Searider Falcon.* I wonder if the whole book was burnt, or if it was just certain pages that were lost. That gets me thinking about "loss" again. The missing pages of the text. Humm. *goes off to think*
I wouldn't be so happy if I were you, its one of my fics that has been in progress for more than a year. *shivers* Well I've rewatched it already and I'm still no closer to figuring that cat business out. But then I wasn't really paying attention to the non-Bill parts :D
Well it looked to me as if it was mostly the edges that were burnt off so some of the text near the spine should still be legible. Which gives me the idea that he really is reading from memory and thinking about the associated memories. Didn't he mention earlier in the series that it was his favourite book and knew most of it by heart? Or was that just implied and jumped on by shippers? Hmmm... I need to think about that as well.
Well, the cat is going to drive me crazy until I figure it out! I'm not sure that Bill said he knew it by heart, but he seems pretty familiar with the chapters that he's read out loud. Think it's true that he's never read the ending? I totally believe it of him. Laura is SO going to make him finish reading it.
"Because I can't live without her"...I am equally dead. Whatever flaws this episode had (and it had several, though I loved it), I forgive them ALL just for that line alone. *sighs*
Oh, I'm really glad you liked that line. I was starting to feel lonely, while reading everyone else's critiques of that line. I think redoren put her finger on why I like it: it makes A/R undeniably, absolutely CANON!!!! Anyway, it's fascinating that people have reacted so differently to that line. I'm ages behind on reading fandom reactions, though. I'll have to drop by channel 23 and see what's up! :D *CDQ*
And I won't pimp for just anyone! *wicked grin* I'm so excited to hear that a new fic is indeed coming. Nudge me if I don't see it right away on my friends page, because I don't want to miss it!!!! You are an adorable "complete and utter sap." ((((flamingo))))
You are not the only one confused about the cat. Best mind-frak they've pulled on the show so far. And yet, it probably means absolutely nothing! I worry about Jake a bit, though.
Bill & Saul - loyalty. Yes, it is interesting. Makes you want to read their little punch-up as more of a stress-release type deal than a result of genuine issues between them. I wonder when exactly they realized that fighting is a bit pointless since they're both in a similar... er... boat. :O 'Women, fire & dangerous things', eh wot?
"You're not the same man." Loved that line! It reminds me of Caprica's line to Tigh in the brig: "We are the same." Heh. So in discovering his Cylonicity, he thinks he's become the same as 'the enemy', and perversely this has made him a better man for his own side, through not being the same as he was to them before. LOL! I love Tigh.

Oh, I frakking love you for sending me the tag for linking to websites. (((((zaleti)))))
About the cat. I'm ages behind in reading fandom reactions, but good to know that I wasn't alone. The cat is a head!cat, IMO. That just makes me love Romo Lampkins SO much more! He's crazy! As you say in NZ, "Eeex-cellent." :D I'll drop by channel 23 to see what's been up recently. As I said, I'm AGES behind. I'll catch up soon. *huggles*
