Driving Miss Joey

Dec 10, 2008 19:42

I took a half day off from work today. I didn't feel like taking the whole day off today in protest since I didn't really have anything planned to do, say community service wise, so I didn't feel there was a positive point for me to be out all day just to protest Prop 8 and marriage rights ( Read more... )

Target doesn't carry big-boy sizes any more so I don't think to look there. The big and tall shops usually sell stuff that's pretty cheaply made. The stuff at Dillard's is well made, just expensive - especially with their private label stuff where I guess they make their money.

Well, when you have a job for a while, it's bound to come out eventually. It's just changing jobs and having to come out all over again.

Wow! That's sometimes all one needs (a half day). That office party sounds a lot more fun, more like what we would have done in Salt Lake City for events beyond Christmas - at Christmas we invite retirees so it's always at the Little America Hotel and an actual formal dinner.

That sounds like odd but wonderful behavior from the puppy.

The office party was pretty good. Much better than some of the stuffy parties I've been to with other employers. Strangely this party was was a make up since the company banned larger events this year.

Yeah, the dog's behavior is a little strange, but I was happy to drive her around.

If all of the gay men and women connected with my production had called in gay, there would have been no performance tonight:)

It was a nice thought, but I'm thinking as a protest the "Day Without a Gay" wasn't very effective. I don't think the point was really made, and people can do more by just being themselves. I'm sure your "workplace" would have been an effective protest place, but really, what would it have said? Besides, why disappoint an audience?

So, how many of the Seven Brothers would rather be with another brother? ;-)
