That is totally the fault of the movie. Rick Riordan knows better!

Over all, I was underwhelmed. I can see how someone who hasn't read the books might really like it. But to me it was just an ok adaptation. It was neither as good an adaptation as Silence of the Lambs, nor as bad an adaptation as Eragon. In fact, Eragon was such a bad adaptation that my sister and I use "Eragon" as a verb to describe adaptations. ( Read more... )
