So in case anyone hasn't heard, I lost my job on Tuesday. They eliminated a position in my department and have nothing else to offer me. Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been keeping up with LJ lately.

More to the point, I'm sorry to hear about your job. As you know, I can relate. And yeah, hearing that it's not the end of the world doesn't keep it from feeling that way.

Since I'm still out of work myself -- well, sort of, not counting the contract work and the Retail Job From Hell -- I don't have any solutions to offer, but I can at least offer a friendly ear.
