Equilibrium: (I shall do my best not to dissolve into a Christian Bale-induced lump of hormones. :D ) Okay. If you can look past Kurt Wimmer's most unforgivable production mistake ("Ultraviolet"), you will find this movie. To get an idea of what it's about, think Orwell's "1984," Huxley's "Brave New World," and Ayn Rand's "Anthem." Throw in a dash of "The Giver" and "Fahrenheit 451," and several costume style nods to The Matrix and any kung fu movie, and you will have "Equilibrium." It is violent and dark, but it's also actually what I call "a quiet movie." What I mean by this is that not a lot of dialogue occurs, and what does is the bare minimum needed to get the point across. And it does this VERY effectively. Don't get me wrong. It has PLENTY of noise, specifically since almost all of the violence occurs in gun battles. But it does what it needs to do mostly through the stark black-and-white set contrast, and the actions of the characters. To compare this movie in any way with "The Matrix" is selling it short. The

Mmm..well I'm not sure I can write a paper on everything, but I'll try. Well Asian art...Yep, just love everything about it. I love the symbols, the colors, the constant use of dragons!!! I just love it, I'm gay, I know. I'll have to send you some pictures of stuff sometime I suppose. Maine..yea...when I was younger I loved the idea of moving to Maine, just seemed like it would be quieter and prettier and not so damn hot and around crazy crack heads. And as for the Notebook...yep, I just love that movie. Sue me.
