Ah, and who doesn't? On the other hand, if you cultivate a proper appreciation of it, then, when you get to implicit differentiation (and you will soon, if you haven't already) it will not be as hard as people make it out to be. (Pretty much the one major thing vital to remember when doing implicit differentiation is that it's veeeeery important to use the chain rule on anything that looks remotely like it isn't an x. Or whatever variable the thing is being differentiated by. But that's usually x.)

Fractional exponents are totally the shiznit. Seriously, if it were up to me, I'd totally abolish root notation and have everybody use fractional exponents all the time for everything.
