oh bailey where do i start?
old people aren't so bad. as long as they don't smell like pee or poop. and chef bjorn? hold me down! he is rather sexy. SEEEXXXYYYY. like CHHHIIKKKIIINN. (but i still love you mr. belcher) and i love the dalai lama as well. i would like to get my hands on that book. i can't believe you like de botton though. actually i haven't read him at all but he just doesn't interest me. i love that you said jackass too. cursing is so much fun sometimes. eloquency is overrated in times of passion and frustration. i heard a lot of people didn't understand the wording of the bullet train ammendment and voted the opposite of how they felt. yes. hopefully the closeness of the vote will make bush more wary of his policy in the next four years. as in hello you have a whole country pretty much divided in two over you. and bailey? i never want to see or hear the phrase sprinkle of fitness ever again. end!

... as if the fact that it was never clearly proven that he won LAST election held him back?

Even worse, term limits and all, he can't be reelected again. "Well, why's THAT bad?" you might say. BECAUSE HE HAS ABSOLUTELY NO NEED TO TRY TO PLEASE THE ELECTORATE THIS TERM. IT DOESN'T MATTER IF HE PISSES OFF 99% OF THE POPULATION SO LONG AS HE DOESN'T DO ANYTHING TO GET HIMSELF IMPEACHED.

Considering the slight Republican majority in Congress again, even the latter portion of my previous statement is a bit iffy.

quite a point. but you overlook my objective...hope...sigh. what a load of poop that is. the senate outcome saddened me. i think i am resolving to ignore politics for the next four years until campaigning begins again. probably not be a good idea though.

*lol* I can be quite the spoil-sport, and I frequently don't realize it because I'm generally very optimistic and idealistic regardless of my fondness for skeptical and cynical talk.

Anyway, regardless of who's President, I still know that I am the single most important factor in determining the course of my own life, so it little affects my overall usual gleefulness, even if the results make me a bit grumpy.

I love this state, too. :) I love democracy even more. :D But I love you the most. ^_^ If you ever raise any holy hell or anything, you can always call on me to help. It'll be fun.

Politics are the best. Of all of man's creations, its gotta be up there, along with capitalism and extremist militant protestors. >_>

(woo, short reply!)

Silly Bailey. We don't live in a Democracy. We live in an oligarchy. Remember the electoral college? At any rate - the reason that institution exists is because most americans are to _(Insert word here)_ to vote competantly.

And don't hate me because I called the election better than your teacher. I'm at Georgetown - I have an unfair advantage.
