Freshman year wrap-upPride cameth before my fall. I arrived at Northwestern with a sense of academic infallibility, thanks to the unforseen laxity of East High and innumerable lucky breaks. I did well at East with moderate effort and eagerly believed that the same tricks would fly at NU: saving work for the last possible second to surf the ( Read more... )

agh...certain forms of science just aren't meant to be nice, are they? reduces most to what you incredibly aptly describe as "bleary-eyed, snot-dripping, fatalistic incapacitation" (couldn't have described it any better myself--me, who falls victim to these exact symptoms far more often than i would like!). i really admire your ability to conclude so optimistically and completely victorious, with viable alternate plans to boot. whatever path you follow, i know you'll complete it well, and the best of luck to you. :D tis a terribly tipsy boat we're all in, and we're not gonna let it sink! huzzah!

Also, have you considered just staying another year and retaking the courses you did badly in? I took Phys over the summer and I met quite a few people who're HPME and re-taking Physics bc they got low grades the first time around ( ... )

Thansk for the advice. We'll see what happens...

I'm not the best group studier either, but if you want to meet up for moral support while we study solo, we could try that. In any case good luck with the sequence! :)
