Bah. Humbug.

Ugh. I am generally in favor of holidays, at least in principle. In practice, however, each holiday equals two days of hell for me - the before-the-holiday panic from all the people who didn't plan far enough ahead to get their meds in time and the after-the-holiday panic of all the people who REALLY had not planned or who had some sort of incident ( Read more... )

Estonia... and here I thought I was being ambitious with a package arriving at the last minute from England... At worst it becomes a 12th night gift.

May the rest of the holiday be better.

Well, to be fair, they are mostly 12th Night gifts... It's just a new company that I am ordering from and I am very eager to see their work. It looked spectacular on etsy.

Chuckle, I am awaiting a 27 year old stuffed dinosaur that I finally tracked down in England.

It matches the one in this blog: http://theverykinddinosaur.blogspot.com/

Peep can finally go home. After 3/4 of a year of searching I found another one.

Well, if nothing else, this will pass simply because time marches on... I feel bad - I'm going to be one of the headache customers for my pharmacy, I guess. I have a 'twice yearly' diabetes check up on the 26th, at which my GP will renew all of my daily meds and send the list in to the pharmacy. And my oncologist just did the same. I never really thought about what that means in terms of workload for the staff since it would be a normal sort of thing any other time of year. I should bring them cookies or something.

Well, sometimes it can't be helped, but expect it to be crazy, particularly if you get your drugs at a pharmacy that sells anything other than drugs - it's not Black Friday, but the bargain hunters will be out in force.

Maybe make some wooden racks/boxes for your booze? And, obviously, a party is in order. Several parties probably since you are the very best at them. :)
