The upside to the recent financial turmoil is that the US Dollar has been rebounding quite nicely - it's now 0.71 AUD = 1 USD and 1 EUR = 1.36 USD. Flight time is about 15 hours.

If you don't hear from me in 20 hours, assume that I have been taken to Guantanamo and call my lawyer.

It's pretty awesome. Since I'm not leaving until Sunday night, I have a few days just to chill out and relax with the family.

Watching the Grand Final on Saturday, eating MANGOES (real mangoes, not the crappy fake red and green things) and scoring some general Australiana which I've missed.

Brilliant! Very open and shut case, I'm guessing.

Still boggles me that I had to fly all the way back to Australia to do this - but I'm not complaining now!

Well I'm not on a plane :P

They overbooked the flight - and I was the last person to check in.

As a result, I get bumped to tomorrow night and I get an upgrade to Business Class and a $400 air credit :D
