See, now many of us are longtime This Is Me Breathing fans. We've soaked up a lot of good lyrics, and a lot of good art. And I'm a big fan of that starry/bubbly trail of ectoplasm (oh yeah). But my question is, it's no secret that sometimes the artist's happy pieces are mistaken for sad, and the artist's sad pieces mistaken for happy. I get lifted by this image. I'm not going to lie. It makes me feel good. Something about the band-aid, and the cool green of the background against the ectoplasm trail. But what does that say about my ability to be present to the artist? Am I just some asshole clapping gleefully at the colors, tones and highlights while somewhere far away, the vacant stare of the ghost is echoed in the artist's soul? This stuff keeps me up at night. -lev
I'm thinkin that thats the new movement here. that they're one and the same. Laugh! Clap! I did when I pictured it at 3 am last night and made it with my laptop sitting on my chest, propped up on extra pillows. this is not to say you shouldnt be cautious. my instinct tells me that cloud is probably poisonous.
Why are you so mean to people? Gees Shannon. So anywho, I'm writing because I have miraculous news: you have a clone (well kinda), minus the eyes of course. He's the graphic design guy here at the conference, who's supposed to help me out with everything. The likeness is kind of freaky. Just wanted to share.
And be nice to Marchuan, or whoever. Ha!
Back to pretending I'm still in school, while prostituting myself at this conference (i.e. I still have fucking final projects to turn in over this week). Cheers! Oh and for like two hours I was the only designer here. Yikes. But some other guy showed up. Still yikes!
Now now, I'm not being mean. You know its my long standing policy to reply in exactly that way to any anonymous comment.
Good to hear you've met my clone. He's a good one, but you're right we didnt get the eyes right in that generation. Version 3 was suposed to address that, but the funding got cut. Anyway, enjoy him while you can, he's only designed to have a 4 year lifespan, and that was about 2, 2 and a half years ago, if I'm not mistaken.
Glad the conference is going wellish, minus the glaring ironies and catch 22s! Good Luck! I'd like to hear about this thing sometime, sounds interesting...
