Several months ago, B told me that when our lease is up Aug 31, not that she's no longer in school, she'd be moving in with her bf Michael. That in itself was a bummer, cuz B has been the best roommate I've ever had. And since I can't afford this place on my own, I had to make a plan for where I'd live come Sept. I felt like living with B kinda

If at all possible, you should go tenent at will, so that when you do find a place you can move at your leisure.

yeah, never argue with the universe, it knows what it's doing. And life gets about 20x better when you actually listen to it.
