The shifter in my car has been a bit finnicky since I bought it. It was no bog deal, since it always shifted and got me where I needed to go. I turned in my Professional Portfolio on Wednesday, and now it will be read through and approved by the head of the Center for Creative Teaching (the teaching program here at Bennington). So, there's probably two feet of snow outside the apartment I'm staying in for the next seven weeks, and more on the way. The temps are not supposed to get above freezing, and may go down to the negatives. Honestly, I'm glad I don't have to worry about my car, and everything is within walking distance. Temps were in the teens yesterday, and probably got down to the single digits. Most of the day, the wind was trying to shed the tarp I set up as a windbreak, and succeeded in ripping out a few grommets.

First frost today here in Bennington. It' one of those firsts that I like to keep track of.

Life is good. I spent the weekend hanging out with people. Saturday night/sunday morning I went out bullheading with a friend of mine. For those who don't fish, bullhead are small catfish that are mostly active at night. Fishing for them involves casting out, and letting the poles sit with bells on the end.
