They're not great literature, but they're pretty fun to read in small doses, especially when you need something not too demanding that can fit in a pocket.
That's exactly why I love them! The first one I read was the King "Colorado Kid," and then Cornell Woolrich's "Fright" (which really makes me want to find his original short story of "Rear Window" now).
