They had all kinds of interesting forms of torture, throughout history. The iron lady, that thing with the spikes - I don't know any of the names or what they do, but looking at the pictures is fun. Maybe even more fun when you don't know what they do, because you get to spend your time guessing what they're for ( Read more... )

coming off medication is good. i felt CRAP for ages, but I feel a bouncy little Sali now. Ok, so I've still played with sharp objects when I shouldn't have, but I'm ok.

"I don't believe in this scars tell a story bullshit. "

Unless you're into really wierd scarification and transcribed the whole of "Dick and Jane go to the Shop" onto your left calf. in which case they would tell a story, but no-one over five would want to read it.

I'm not sure about Leeds fest: I'm kinda ambivalent about most of the headliners. Modest Mouse, Polyphonic Spree and Flogging Molly I'd be interested in seeing, the rest.. there's a lot of bands I kinda like, a lot I don't hate, and a few that annoy the fuck out of me. I dunno if in all there's enough motivation there to drag me the 10 miles to the park. I guess if I can score press passes from work I'll go, otherwise probably not.

And for those that were asking, no, it's not sold out yet. There are still day and weekend tickets available.

I know what you mean, there's no bands playing I'm particularly excited about - although Melissa Auf Der Maur and the White Stripes should be interesting.

It'll be my first ever festival, though, (i know, how sad is that!) so I'm mostly just going for the atmosphere and experience of getting wasted with friends for a whole weekend.

That said, I've decided not to drink the entire time I'm there, because I want to remember it :D

As a first festival you could go to a lot worse: Glastonbury and Reading are just a grind. Have fun and start a riot :)
