A: My hair.  It must be seen to be believed - so come see it sometime!

I'm actually concerned that I'm not cool enough to live up to my new do.  I'm sure I'll learn to live with the higher expectations.

if you've not washed it yet, BE EXTREMELY CAREFUL WHEN YOU DO! use cold water - i say this only because when i went pink and black in high school, the black turned the pink into purple/rust/orange/grey/several other weird colors that are still undefined.

what brands of dye did you use?

I got it professionally done at the place in the LVM because the only people around at the time I decided to have the dyeing adventure were my boyfriend and my brother - neither of whom are trustworthy people. I also needed a haircut anyway. It cost an arm, a leg, and my firstborn, so I've been hyper-paranoid about the cold water/no chemicals/only color-safe shampoo thing. I also got the black on the bottom layers hoping that it would do less damage to the red that way.

I have no idea what brand of dye they used, but they said to use Manic Panic if I decide to touch it up myself when it starts to fade, which apparently red does really, really quickly.
