The moment the elevator doors slide open, Lily trots into the gloom. Thinking ahead really isn't her M.O., you know? The bright red spot is the first thing she sees, obviously, and she heads toward it. That's interesting...
It appears to be a poster of a Cardinal! The poster proudly informs Lily and Jane that the family of passerine birds found in North and South America are robust, seed-eating birds are named for their red plumage.
Lilith isn't wearing any of the fancy new gear she lifted from Deck 12, but the grease infestation has her nose wrinkling and being careful not to touch her fingertips to any dirtied surface. The flat palm-guard on her gloves is enough. She eagerly scrapes a hand over one of the colored areas, to clear it for further studying.
This poster proudly displays a brilliant green kakapo. Did you know it is the only parrot to have a polygynous lek breeding system? They are particularly fond of the fruit of the rimu tree and make a rather delicate booming sound to attract mates. How lovely!
So Mimmi is finally out and about and doing something. Awesome. This deck doesn't look all that safe, however. She takes a brief moment to stand around the elevator and look out. It appears safe, so...
Off she goes into the deck! It's not all that clean, is it? Kind of gross. But look, there's not-so-gross things on the walls! Like that red... thing over there.
He doesn't really want to be here, but if Mimmi's going to be here, he wants to be there to try and get her out of stuff... probably by just grabbing her arm and pulling.
He follows along, watching for anyone getting too close, a small but heavy ornament in his hand for sending into someone's face if need be, satchel filled with more projectiles.
And this is why Jeremiah is here. To provide that nice, adult like protection to this children on their field trip out into the gloom. So when Jeremiah sees them heading forward, he'll follow silently-- almost adding to the eerie air of the place. Though from how bright his scales are, the whole ninja aspect of the fish was hardly serious.
Scales hat could take bullets, and act as a cutting tool were enough protection and weaponry for him. Especially since he doubted he'd have to kill anything besides a kid's ego in the first place.
She was right after Jere, still carrying her bow and arrows because you just really never know. She glances at the two she doesn't know, flashing a nervous smile before following behind him herself, coming to stand with Jere.
Oh, look. It's like Haven. Well, if the atmosphere is anything like it. It reminds her of home, reminds her of how she doesn't exactly miss it.
Ashelin strafes carefully, wishing more than ever she had her gun on her. Damn the captain and his crew for taking that from her. No matter, maybe she won't need it. What can possibly take her on and hope to win?
Her eyebrows furrow and her steps are light. One hand is lifted, instinctive, and she finds herself drawn to the flashes of color. Now... what could the source of that possibly be?
She gets this. Ashelin wastes no time in reaching for the grime and trying to push it aside. Is she really helping though, or just making a mess of things? Come to think of it, she doesn't really have anything else to rub it off with.
Leonardo slips out of the elevator, eyes adjusting to the change in light as he enters as quietly as he can manage...which is pretty near silent. This doesn't look like a place that could house people, but Leonardo wasn't about to dismiss it. For all he knew, Redd could just be throwing the sick into dungeon cells and leaving them to rot in their illness.
...don't think about that.
The bright spot on he wall catches his attention, but instead of zooming over to it like a moth to a candle Leonardo takes his time examining the floor. No sign of Raphael.
Leonardo gives the wall a glare; curiosity wars with urgency, but there might be something here worth looking at. Touching the wall for a moment, Leo quickly slides one of his elbow pads from his arm, spits on it and attempts to scrub at the grime to clear the picture beneath it further.

Lilith, forgetting her decision to be careful about what she touches, rips down the poster and moves along.

There's a nice clean patch on the wall now.

It's impossible to tell without wiping some of the dirt away.

Beneath the dirt and muck is a poster of a Starling with its wings outstretched.

He reaches over and swipes a hand over the wall.

But there is a brief flash of yellow between the streaks.
