Sheets of purple lightning and a cascade of hailstones -- some as big as gum balls.

I'm seeking shelter in the movie theatre (covered) parking lot.

It sounded like it was hard enough to crack my windows.

Luckily, it didn't actually crack any of my windows. I fear that if I'd stayed out in it, and continued driving, it would have.

dad and i were watching news to catch a little on the Spaceship one thingie, and the hail was coming down on the studio roof so loud, you culd hardly hear the newspeople...

it made me happy to see the hail. sat on the porch and smoked my pipe.

Today I took some video with my phone of the hail on campus.... I have not figured out how to post it in an accesable format yet though...

I honestly was sort of wishing I didn't have prior obligations tonight as I wanted to drive out on Unser and watch the storm.

Man, these are the moments that I wish I had someone in the middle of the night to call to do such with.
