Should I read it? I flipped through, wasn't grabbed by anything, read the last chapter, and decided to forgo the epilogue.
Actually, I probably will read it at some point, if only so I can play around with more Greek tragedies. Got any more appalling fics/fic summaries for me? Or something cringe-worthy from the book itself?
I liked it; other people in the fandom hated it. Here are the good points:
- Awesome backstory for Dumbledore. - It starts off with a bang, and never lets up. - There are some wonderful, subtle character/worldbuilding moments. - Like I mentioned before, the takeover of the wizarding world is genuinely frightening.
Aaand the bad points:
- Some of the subplots could have been fleshed out more. - Harry's powers are a bit more Super Special Awesome!!!!!!!! than they should be. She kinda justifies it, but you still might find yourself going, "But - but - WHAT THE HELL WANDS DON'T WORK THAT WAY
