This morning I covered for the choir director at my secondary parish, as he was on vacation. Things were going pretty well until we got to the second half of the Mass. Comes time for the Holy, Holy, and I give the organist a good solid 3-beat intro, expecting the same Mass parts as last week. I hate the pain. But more than the pain, I hate what it does to me. It keeps me from exercising so I can lose weight (dieting alone doesn't work for me). It keeps me from doing more than a couple of things in a day. Good luck if you want clean laundry AND clean dishes. It puts a burden on my husband to take up the slack, since standing to cook ( Read more... ) -

Amused in annoyed kind of way. Or maybe the other way around.
I was scheduled to fill in for the choir director at another church where I sing (I'm the director at my home church, and we do Saturday Mass). Knowing my habit of being slightly late for everything, I laid out my clothes, got my music together, and set my alarms. I had everything set to go, but I missed one little thing.
