Starting next month, my bank, Chase, is going to start charging $12 a month for the free checking account that I opened with Washington Mutual back in 2004. Last night I got back home from my cross country bike trip. I have gone 4459.5 miles, more or less, since I left San Francisco. It is a terribly exciting tail of strife, woe and hardship.
