I'm getting older. Everyone is getting older, even babies and are getting older. But me.. I am getting older, and I have found that I like aging. I like seeing my skin thicken and the sunspots growing darker. I like that my jaw looks more set and my hands are worn and calloused. Sometimes I hold my fingers to my head like a gun and pull the trigger. It's not what I want, but its a way of saying something. Misinterpret for a cry for help. I'm not looking for help, nor a bullet in the brain; just release.

Day’s like this aren’t found in Ohio Decembers. This sunset is a stranger to these parts and all the snow’s gone on strike. The cat came back yesterday looking wise. She's seen more than I'll ever know. My bike got a flat tire and the Robin Hood building isn't up for rent anymore. Goodbye transportation and aspiration. I've been saving up money for something and I think I have decided to buy land. I found a 5.5 acre plot in a beautiful area of northeastern ohio that is completely wooded. I am going to take a walk through it today and decide if it's what I want to do. I imagine that the feeling of standing on a piece of earth that belongs to me would feel nice. ( Read more... )
